A Family Daycare Environment In Adelaide Committed To Expanding Perspectives Through Experiences And Relationships.
Family Daycare centres through Adelaide are built on the idea that familiar environments, promote comfortable learning in young children. The Pre-Kindy room at our child care centre in Adelaide, offers a familiar family daycare environment, supported by dedicated educators to create a world where our children begin to explore the process of learning. At this age we can expect our children to begin developing an awareness of self, as well as developing curiosity about the wider community. This developing curiosity allows our children to begin to see learning opportunities, and instances of wonder in their environment.
Within our Pre-Kindy room, we are beginning to see social attachments between the children. These attachments lead to the sharing of perspectives and the shaping of new understandings. This is an important realisation to consider for this age of development and we built our childcare environment in Adelaide to support this social exploration.
Exploring Interdependence In Adelaide’s Leading Early Learning Centre.
Our Pre-Kindy children are shown how they can impact their environment and how their environment can have an impact on them. This is the beginning of building a sense of responsibility and interconnectedness for our children.
The Pre-Kindy room is also an opportunity for our children to explore longer term investigation. By instilling a sense of curiosity and wonder, we have in our midst very capable learners. These learners are more than ready to examine the world around them more intimately.
An Adelaide Child Care Centre That Understands Socially Constructed Learning.
The belief behind promoting social play for young children in early learning centres throughout Adelaide, is to broaden the ideas and views of any given investigation or experience. At Where We Grow, we recognise that all children learn in a different way, at a different pace. By encouraging children to play with one another, we are encouraging the sharing of ideas and the broadening of their perspectives.
The Emergence Of The ‘More Knowledgeable Other’ Within A Childcare Environment In Adelaide.
In a Constructivist learning environment, children can and often do, teach one another. They adopt the role of the ‘More Knowledgeable Other’. This term refers to a person, child or adult, that has a higher level of understanding that can help guide another toward gaining their own understanding.
For the ‘More Knowledgeable Other’, this is a great confidence builder, to be able to share and guide peers, and for the child being guided. It offers a new teacher to learn from, often in a new way.
Where We Grow is very proud of the emergency of this role within each of our learning environments.
